Lead Electrical Engineer

Title: Lead Electrical Engineer - Data Center

Location: Mumbai

Years of Experience: 20+ years

Responsibilities:

• Expert in design of Overall Electrical power systems for Data Centres including EHV/HV/MV/LV distribution.
• Expert in design of UPS systems (incl. Battery), DGs, Switchgear, PDUs, and Grounding systems.
• Develops conceptual and detailed electrical design packages in coordination with internal teams, consultants, and vendors.
• Ensure designs are Value Engineered and focus on Performance, Energy Efficiency, and Reliability Targets.
• Own technical design decisions and power system architecture across multiple Data Centre projects.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and design validation through simulation and analysis tools.
• Updated on industry codes, standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA 70E), and new technologies in power systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to electrical design engineers.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and post-occupancy performance reviews.

Experience:

• 20–25+ years of experience in electrical design, with at least 5 years focused on Data Centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep understanding of power system design including redundancy (N+1, 2N), fault coordination, and load analysis.
• Experience with electrical design software tools (ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards.
