Summary You will serve as a LEAD ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (AN/SPY-1 RADAR) in the Engineering Department, Combat System Weapons Division, (Code R290) of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA Spain. Responsibilities You will provide technical assistance for urgent mission-degrading Casualty Reports (CASREPS) or requests for technical assistance affecting assigned subsystems, without customary references, and requiring direct communications with ships' officers. You will perform functional checkout, assessment, adjustment, and test of new or modernized shipboard systems in a systems qualifications test environment (a majority of which is at sea). You will participate in ordnance alterations (ORDALTs), ship alterations, and field changes (FCs) which include actual hands-on modification of components.
