**Responsibilities**



Mechanical Engineering group at WITEC, supports a multitude of business units across the globe and various projects/product lines. The Mechanical Design Coordinator role combines coordination and mechanical design expertise for aftermarket/Services to ensure seamless integration between customer requirements, spare parts management, and robust design solutions. The position focuses on optimizing cost, quality, and lead time while maintaining technical compliance and supporting global collaboration.



Key Responsibilities:



+ Act as the technical interface between customers, suppliers, and internal teams for aftermarket and spare parts requests.



+ Ensure technical compatibility between customer demand, original part requirements, and proposed solutions; detail and justify any discrepancies.



+ Design & develop new, complicated 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings, create parts lists, wiring diagrams, layouts, detailed assembly drawings, and part outlines for Aftermarket Solutions



+ Provide technical support for handling internal and supplier non-conformities; participate in QRQC sessions and is owning to resolve technical issues management.



+ Analyze all replacement requests to identify improvement areas for cost, quality, and processing time.



+ Maintain and update technical documentation databases (plans, BOMs, assembly instructions, control plans, etc.).



+ Plan and coordinate design office activities related to spare parts.



+ Perform & review finite element analysis (FEA), material selection, and dimensioning of standard mechanical components.



+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders like purchasing and quality departments to resolve issues related to spare parts, ensuring compromises that limit technical risks while maintaining quality and cost.



Required Skills:



+ Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals: statics, FEM, material science, GD&T (ASME/EN).



+ Expertise in CAD tools (Creo Mandatory; Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD desirable).



+ Should have knowledge of sheet metal parts manufacturing, casting design & machined parts manufacturing



+ Should have good understanding of Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMA) principles



+ Should be able to clearly understand the inputs and estimate hours required for execution



+ Should have knowledge on GD&T as per ASME / EN standards



+ Should have good knowledge of materials including carbon and stainless steel, heat treatment process



+ Ability to synthesize and analyze technical information, make decisions, and communicate clearly.



Desired Characteristics



+ Experience in working with Global teams in a MNC type of set up



+ Experience in aftermarket services or spare parts management preferred



+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities



+ Strong oral and written communication skills



+ Strong presentation skills



+ Good interpersonal skills



Qualification



+ Bachelors /master’s degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 8 years of design experience.
