Job Description – Lead Engineer - Stress

In this role the Associate Engineer-Stress Analysis will actively involve in structural analysis of Aerostructures Components.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis (static, fatigue and damage tolerance) for primary and secondary aircraft structures using both classical hand calculations and Finite Element Method (FEM).
  • Independently interpret stress reports, certification documents, and substantiation analyses, quickly gaining deep understanding of the underlying calculation methodologies and engineering techniques with minimal guidance.
  • Apply scientific principles to innovate, develop, and implement business improvement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international export control regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with clients and customers.
  • Open-minded and eager to learn new tools, technologies and methodologies.

    • Education & Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or Aeronautics with 4 years or more relevant experience.
  • Expertise in load path, load balance, free body diagram, classical hand analysis methods and Finite Element Method (FEM) used in Aerospace structural analysis using MSC Nastran / PATRAN.
  • Understanding of static and fatigue analyses of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
  • Knowledge of Nacelle Systems for Commercial aircraft programs such as B787, A320neo, A220, A350.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Certification or training in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance, FEM/FEA, or Aerospace Structures is desirable.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as TCL/Tk, Python and Visual Basic.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
