Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Front End Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai, India. As the Lead Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our front-end development efforts, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality, scalable web applications.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and librariesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresEstablish best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines for front-end developmentMentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level front-end developersConduct code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and scalabilityOptimize application performance and improve user experienceStay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and industry trendsParticipate in technical design discussions and contribute to product roadmap planningWork closely with UX/UI designers to implement responsive and intuitive user interfacesTroubleshoot and debug complex front-end issuesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of professional experience in front-end development2+ years of experience in a technical leadership roleExpert-level proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and GraphQLExperience with version control systems, particularly GitFamiliarity with build tools and package managers like Webpack and npmStrong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibilityExperience with front-end performance optimization techniquesKnowledge of UI/UX design principles and their application in web developmentProficiency in using testing frameworks such as Jest and CypressExperience with Agile development methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and team collaboration abilitiesKnowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs)Experience with state management libraries like Redux or MobXAdditional Information
Position Details: This is a full-time salaried position (40+ hours/week).
