Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical & Electronics Design Lead with 10–15 years of experience to design and develop mission-critical products for the Fire Safety industry.
The role involves end-to-end ownership of electrical and electronics system design, including UL864-compliant off-line SMPS, communication boards (wired & wireless), and microprocessor/microcontroller-based control boards that drive the core logic of fire detection and protection systems.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in analog and digital design, power electronics, regulatory compliance, and system-level integration, along with the ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and engage with global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical and electronics hardware design for fire safety and life-safety products
- Design mixed-signal circuits, including microcontroller/microprocessor-based boards and communication interfaces
- Develop high-efficiency off-line SMPS (AC-DC, DC-DC) with PFC and battery charging systems
- Own schematic design, component selection, BOM creation, PCB layout review, and board bring-up
- Ensure compliance with UL864 and FCC Part 15 through design and testing
- Perform reliability and safety analysis (WCCA, DFMEA, FMEDA, MTBF)
- Manage prototype development and validation (EVT, DVT, PVT)
- Support EMC, safety, and regulatory certification testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface with global stakeholders
- Mentor engineers and ensure adherence to product development and quality processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 10–15 years of hands-on experience in electrical & electronics hardware design
- Strong expertise in:
- Analog and digital circuit design,
- Off-line AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies,
- Power electronics and magnetics design
- Proven experience with UL864 and FCC Part 15 compliance
- Experience designing battery management and charging circuits
- Hands-on involvement in EMC and regulatory testing
- End-to-end ownership of hardware development: schematic - PCB - prototyping - validation - production
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering, DFMEA, FMEDA, and WCCA
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Fire Safety or Life-Safety systems
- Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar EDA tools
- Simulation experience using LTspice, PLECS, or equivalent tools
- Exposure to multiple wireless technologies (BLE, Lo Ra WAN, Zigbee, Sub-1 GHz)
- Prior experience working with global customers or cross-border teams
- Strong project ownership, problem-solving, and mentoring capabilities
