We are looking for an experienced **Lead Java Developer** to join our team and take on a key leadership role in developing and supporting our client’s infrastructure, integrations, and sustainable solutions, including CI/CD, monitoring, and caching services.
As a Lead Java Developer, you will guide and mentor team members, oversee technical decision-making, and ensure that best practices and high-quality standards are upheld in every project. **Responsibilities**
- Lead and oversee the enhancement of existing Java-based infrastructure and associated microservices
- Provide technical leadership in evaluating the performance impact and scalability of new feature designs
- Act as an escalation point to troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks, leveraging expertise in systems tuning and APM tools like Dynatrace
- Collaborate with internal teams, multiple 3rd parties, and stakeholders to manage and optimize integration layers efficiently
- Oversee the development and maintenance of build scripts and ensure the integrity and efficiency of CI/CD pipelines
- Utilize advanced administration skills to maintain high availability and reliability of mission-critical systems
- Drive strategic technological improvements, identify risks, and ensure alignment with business goals
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior and senior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development and infrastructure support
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Strong understanding of the Commerce domain, including systems, platforms, and integrations
- Deep knowledge of Java and Microservices architecture with hands-on experience modifying and working with infrastructure code
- Proven background in performance evaluation, scalability assessments, and troubleshooting
- Significant experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace) and advanced systems tuning techniques
- Strong expertise in CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, GitLab, Artifactory, or SonarQube
- Solid understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts, with the ability to guide decision-making and solutions
- Extensive experience in build tools like Maven and Gradle
- Proficiency in managing 3rd-party integration layers and related technologies
- Advanced skills in administering and managing caching systems like Redis, Memcached, or MongoDB
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)
**Nice to have**
- Significant experience in Oracle ATG development and support, with the ability to guide teams in adopting best practices
- Expertise in Azure Cloud solutions, including VMs, Redis, Logic and Function Apps, ARM templates, and Azure CLI
- Thorough understanding of Kubernetes (AKS, ArgoCD) and scripting languages like Bash or Gradle, with the ability to implement best practices
- Advanced knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, AWX, or Terraform
