Responsibilities:

* Lead the design, development, and optimization of 'L2 protocol stack components' (MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP) for 5G NR for UE Modem Protocol Stack.

* Architect and implement 'high-performance, scalable solutions' ensuring compliance with '3GPP standards'.

* Drive 'end-to-end design reviews', performance analysis, and enhancements for L2 layers.

* Collaborate with RRC, PHY, and higher-layer teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability.

* Define and maintain 'protocol specifications', design documents, and test plans.

* Analyze and resolve complex issues related to 'data transmission, QoS, scheduling, and reliability'.

* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.

* Stay updated on '3GPP releases', emerging technologies, and industry best practices for L2 protocols.

* Participate in 'customer discussions', technical workshops, and contribute to roadmap planning.

Technical Skills:

* Deep understanding of 'MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP' protocol architecture and functionality for UE Modem Protocol Stack.

* Hands-on experience in '5G NR protocol development' and optimization.

* Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications (Rel-15 onwards).

* Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.

* Experience with protocol debugging tools.

* Familiarity with simulation environments and test frameworks for protocol validation.

* Exposure to multi-threaded programming, real-time operating systems, and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills:

* Knowledge of 'QoS management', 'data integrity', and 'security mechanisms' in L2 protocols.

* Experience in 'high-throughput systems' and 'low-latency design'.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
