Job Description
Experience:
12+ years in wireless communication systems with strong expertise in \"Layer 2 protocols\" (MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP) for 5G NR.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, development, and optimization of 'L2 protocol stack components' (MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP) for 5G NR for UE Modem Protocol Stack.
* Architect and implement 'high-performance, scalable solutions' ensuring compliance with '3GPP standards'.
* Drive 'end-to-end design reviews', performance analysis, and enhancements for L2 layers.
* Collaborate with RRC, PHY, and higher-layer teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability.
* Define and maintain 'protocol specifications', design documents, and test plans.
* Analyze and resolve complex issues related to 'data transmission, QoS, scheduling, and reliability'.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.
* Stay updated on '3GPP releases', emerging technologies, and industry best practices for L2 protocols.
* Participate in 'customer discussions', technical workshops, and contribute to roadmap planning.
Technical Skills:
* Deep understanding of 'MAC, RLC, PDCP, SDAP' protocol architecture and functionality for UE Modem Protocol Stack.
* Hands-on experience in '5G NR protocol development' and optimization.
* Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications (Rel-15 onwards).
* Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
* Experience with protocol debugging tools.
* Familiarity with simulation environments and test frameworks for protocol validation.
* Exposure to multi-threaded programming, real-time operating systems, and performance optimization.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of 'QoS management', 'data integrity', and 'security mechanisms' in L2 protocols.
* Experience in 'high-throughput systems' and 'low-latency design'.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Qualifications:
* 'BE/B.Tech/M.Tech' in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
