Lead Mechanical Designer

The role requires producing high quality, cost effective, detail 3D designs and general arrangement drawings. The designer will, in general, work under the supervision of the Principal Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or the Project Lead Engineer.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Designer to join our growing Design and Drafting team in Vancouver, BC.

The tasks you'll perform

• Be proficient in all aspects of 3D MicroStation software (and preferably OBD) and to use those skills within the Lycopodium defined CAD procedures.
• Be proficient in the supervision of up to three subordinate personnel.
• Be proficient in the layout and detailing of materials handling and mine plant design in their nominated discipline.
• Produce design drawings that are consistent with industry standard techniques and that comply with Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures.
