About the Role

We are a stealth-mode managed services organization delivering highly available, secure, and scalable datacenter infrastructure solutions to SMB and enterprise customers. We are seeking a Lead Network Engineer (CCIE Certified) to design, secure, and operate large-scale datacenter network and security environments.

This role requires deep architectural expertise, hands-on technical leadership, and ownership of mission-critical network platforms supporting 24×7 enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture and Design

• Architect secure, scalable, and resilient datacenter network solutions
• Design Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks, fabric architectures (Cisco Nexus, ACI), and multi-site connectivity
• Define architecture standards for routing, switching, segmentation, zoning, IP addressing, and capacity planning

Security Architecture and Governance

• Design and manage firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and perimeter security architectures
• Implement network access controls, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust principles
• Conduct periodic security assessments, risk reviews, and hardening initiatives

High Availability and Performance Optimization

• Ensure redundancy and high availability across core, distribution, and edge network layers
• Optimize network performance, latency, throughput, and application traffic flows
• Lead network disaster recovery and business continuity preparedness and testing

Incident, Problem, and Change Management

• Lead resolution of critical network and security incidents within SLA
• Perform root cause analysis and drive long-term preventive improvements
• Govern change management processes including planning, testing, approvals, execution, and documentation

Operations and Automation

• Oversee monitoring, alerting, and proactive optimization of network and security devices
• Drive automation initiatives using scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration repositories, and operational runbooks

Collaboration and Technical Leadership

• Work closely with security, cloud, systems, and application teams
• Provide architectural guidance for new implementations, migrations, and transformations
• Mentor network and security engineers and enforce best practices

NOC Support and Compliance

• Support 24×7 datacenter operations as required
• Ensure compliance with internal security standards, audits, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly network and security health reports

Required Experience and Skills

• 12–15+ years of enterprise networking and security experience
• Strong hands-on experience with datacenter network architecture and large-scale deployments
• Mandatory active CCIE certification (Routing & Switching, Security, or Enterprise)
• Deep expertise in Cisco technologies including Nexus, ACI, and Catalyst
• Strong experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD), WAF, IDS/IPS
• Experience with load balancers such as F5 or Citrix
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, IPAM, DNS, and DHCP
• Solid understanding of ITIL-based service operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field
• Cloud networking exposure (AWS or Azure) is an advantage

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, NAC (Cisco ISE), certificate management, and DDoS protection
• Exposure to VMware NSX, SASE, and cloud network security architectures
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
