Job Description

The role involves supervising wireline and LWD/MWD logging operations, conducting advanced petrophysical analysis, integrating log and core data, and supporting reservoir monitoring and development decisions. The position works closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and geophysicists to deliver high-quality petrophysical inputs for hydrocarbon evaluation and field development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare wireline, LWD/MWD logging, perforation, coring, and testing programs
  • Supervise conventional and advanced logging operations (Wireline, PLTs, MDT/RCI/RDT, image logs, NMR, special logs)
  • Perform QC, quick-look interpretation, and advise on coring, pressure, and sampling points
  • Deterministic and stochastic petrophysical analysis integrating core and mineralogical data
  • Estimate porosity, saturation, permeability, net thickness, and hydrocarbon volumes
  • SHF modelling and capillary pressure-based saturation estimation
  • Process and interpret FMI/OBMI image logs and define depositional models and facies
  • Integrate petrophysical outputs with static and dynamic reservoir models
  • Support reservoir monitoring using RMT, TDT, and cased-hole logs
  • Ensure cost control, HSE compliance, and adherence to security standards

Education & Experience

Education:

  • MSc / MTech in Geology or Geophysics from Tier 1/ Tier 2 Institutes

Experience:

  • Minimum 16+ years of relevant petrophysics field experience
