This position is expected to be a field assignment in the southern region of the United States. The location of the assignment can vary depending on the job and/or client. We do offer per diem for those that qualify.



Position Overview:

The Project Controls Construction Specialist provides oversite and coordination of project scheduling, cost control, change management, and Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies by developing internal training tools, coaching Project Managers, auditing deliverables, and defining service requirements for engineering and construction contracts.



Primary Responsibilities:

+ Oversee project scheduling, progress tracking, and cost estimating

+ Implement client cost control processes developing and monitor an effective system of program/project cost controls for the CM task order and construction contract

+ Assists in coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities in conjunction with overall project schedule requirements.

+ Accountable for the scheduling standards, for compiling baseline schedules for construction projects

+ Responsible for tracking all project/program funding sources, including SOWs and external contracts.

+ Measure and control cost, schedule, and technical performance against task or project plans

+ Perform cost estimating functions, including quantity surveys, assessing appropriate inflation factors, and monitor potential risk factors.

+ Preparing monthly analyses and reports on expenditures, progress, commitments, budget performance, and schedule performance

+ Provides regular briefing to project manager on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns

Essential skills and experience:

+ Minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

+ Good communication and computer skills

+ Strong verbal and written communication , and presentation skills

+ Demonstrated Client relationship-building experience

+ Provides regular briefing to project directors on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns

+ Strategic Sourcing, Opportunity/Spend Analyses, and Contract Negotiations

+ Knowledge of Technology Industry Standards

+ Positive attitude and personality; ability to build positive relationships

Compensation Range

$116,620.00 - $179,890.00
