We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer – Python Automation with 8+ years of experience to lead quality assurance efforts for enterprise-scale web and API-driven applications. This role focuses on building and driving an automation-first QA strategy while working closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams in an agile environment.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong hands-on expertise in Python automation
Proven experience in defining test strategies, test plans, and QA processes
Strong understanding of STLC, manual testing, and automation best practices
Hands-on experience with API testing and automation for REST-based services
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
It would be great if you also had . . .
Experience with Python automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, or Behave
Web automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration (Jenkins or equivalent)
Basic knowledge of performance testing and SQL for data validation
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
What will you be doing in this role?
You will lead end-to-end QA activities, including test planning, execution, automation, and reporting, while designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python automation frameworks and test suites. The role involves driving API automation, regression testing, and continuous quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with Development, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure early defect detection. You will mentor QA team members, promote QA best practices across the team, and provide clear quality metrics, status updates, and risk assessments to key stakeholders.
About the Team
You will be part of a globally distributed QA and Engineering team working across India, the UK, and the US, collaborating in an agile and fast-paced delivery environment.
Hours of Work
Working hours are flexible. Partial overlap with UK working hours is preferred; however, flexibility can be accommodated based on project requirements.
