Lead Quantity Surveyor

Overview

A well-established WA civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. This senior role will support a strong pipeline of bulk earthworks, and infrastructure projects across the Perth metro area and regional WA.

Role

As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of multiple civil projects, providing leadership and strategic direction across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Quantity Surveyors
• Ability to implement strategies to improve process
• Manage surveying costs and ensure all site activity is carried out accurately on site to avoid duplicates or reworks.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow
• Prepare and assess variations, progress claims, and final accounts
• Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration
• Provide commercial risk management and reporting to senior leadership

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
• Proven experience in WA civil construction (earthworks, roads, services)
• Understanding of Australian Standard and other standard form contracts.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and plans
• Strong knowledge of local subcontractor and supplier markets
