Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To lead and control cost planning, commercial management, billing, variations, and cost reporting of Interior Design works for a large-scale luxury hotel project in Delhi NCR, ensuring cost certainty, budget discipline, and value optimisation across all interior packages.
Experience in similar luxury hotel / hospitality interior projects is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall commercial control of all interior packages (guestrooms, public areas, F&B, banquets, BOH).
- Manage interior budgets, commitments, forecasting and final cost.
- Review and finalise ID BOQs, tender evaluations and commercial terms.
- Lead RA bill measurement and certification for interior contractors.
- Control and approve variations and change orders, including cost impact analysis.
- Prepare monthly interior cost reports, cashflow and FFC.
- Coordinate closely with ID consultants, PMC, civil & MEP teams to manage interfaces.
- Maintain contractual and commercial discipline across all ID packages.
- Guide and review work of QS team members handling interior packages.
Support to Chief QS
- Act as single-point senior responsibility for interior cost packages.
- Provide consolidated inputs for overall project cost reporting.
- Identify cost risks, overruns and mitigation strategies related to interiors.
- Represent the Chief QS in interior-related commercial meetings, as delegated.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
- Formal QS qualification – added advantage
- 15–18 years of overall experience, with strong exposure to luxury hotel interior projects
- Proven experience handling high-value interior packages and multiple contractors
Key Skills
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen (Interiors)
- High proficiency in Excel-based cost management
- Ability to operate independently on large hotel projects
