Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Lead SDET to enhance the testability, resilience, and performance of our software. Utilize your advanced programming skills to design and develop cutting-edge automation testing tools and frameworks. Lead our efforts to revolutionize the testing process and ensure production-grade software quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership:  Take ownership of developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the quality of the entire product.
  • Technical Leadership:  Guide the SDET team in developing and executing unit test scripts, advanced test automation frameworks. Encourage team members to innovate and excel.
  • Strategic Test Planning:  Take charge in crafting strategic test plans, ensuring thorough testing of software functionalities alongside other teams. Innovate and align testing strategies with our company's goals.
  • CI/CD:  Work with CI/CD pipelines to smoothly integrate automated tests into our development workflow.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:  Work closely with cross-functional teams, offering strategic input on testing approaches, test coverage, and risk mitigation. Play a pivotal role in meetings to align testing objectives with project goals.
  • Technology Expertise:  Show deep understanding of our technology stack, keeping the team updated with the latest tools and frameworks. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and guide their adoption for testing purposes.
    • Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field, with a keen interest in software quality assurance, problem detection, and analysis.
  • Over 8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation and unit testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit) and CI/CD tools.
  • Exposure and understanding of web development frameworks and frontend code.
  • Prior experience in taking initiative to solve a technical/scale or complexity related challenge .
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to align testing strategies with wider organisational goals.
  • Experience in a SaaS-based product company or a bootstrapped high-growth startup is a plus.
