Wood is recruiting for a Lead / Senior Civil Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals business, focusing on FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery on mining projects. This is a 6-month contract with possibility for extension ideal for someone looking to progress into a leadership role, supporting a major client based in Brisbane.

    Expected:

    You will be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for this location. If you have a visa application in progress, you are also encouraged to apply. 

    Ideally, you will be a suitably qualified engineer with a Bachelor's Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, from a recognized institution and have: 

  • Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidelines to the civil engineering discipline 
  • Experienced in performing Civil Design including detailed design of: Plant pad / terrace bulk earthworks and drainageRoad and drainage designTechnical specification preparation and bid evaluation
  • Drive the design and drafting scopes independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client 
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize 
  • Knowledge in the relevant software packages is beneficial (. Open Roads, 12D and Civil3D)
