Your Impact
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Java Developer with deep expertise in enterprise software development and modern architectures. In this role, you will design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power mission‑critical applications. Working closely with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams, you will lead the development of microservices‑based solutions deployed in containerized environments, ensuring reliability, resilience, and optimal performance.
What The Role Offers
- Possess 8–10 years of professional experience in enterprise‑grade software development.
- Architect and develop enterprise‑scale backend systems using Java and RESTful APIs.
- Design and implement microservices architecture for scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes to build and deploy containerized applications.
- Ensure security best practices, including OAuth, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Optimize applications for high availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine requirements and maintain technical excellence.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues and mentor junior engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and evaluate emerging technologies.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, and REST API development.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of security principles, OAuth, and secure API design.
- Proven ability to design for scale, performance, and enterprise reliability.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in complex distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud‑first architectures and containerized deployments.
- Preferred: Knowledge of OpenSearch, RabbitMQ, and messaging systems.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
Salary Range: $103,250 - $153,250.00; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
