+ The COO Technology group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
+ Within COO Technology we are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to drive enterprise-wide transformation in Data Centre modernization and simplification while implementing DevSecOps practices. This highly critical role will define the strategic roadmap, align engineering initiatives with business outcomes, and lead cultural change toward automation, security-first development, and operational and engineering excellence. **In this role, you will:**
+ Manage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributor engineering role with low to moderate complexity and less experienced managers who are responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technology
+ Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release
+ Engage with architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture to enable application migration paths to target architecture, for example, cloud readiness, application modernization and data strategy
+ Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning
+ Identify and recommend opportunities for driving resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards
+ Act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams to make decisions and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement culture
+ Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed
+ Interpret, develop, and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with low to moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk
+ Collaborate and consult with the Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices
+ Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
+ Manage allocation of people and financial resources for technology engineering including career development and performance management for engineers and managers on the team
+ Hire, mentor and guide talent development of direct reports to build the skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for the supported product areas/products
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 2+ years of Leadership experience
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
**Job Expectations:**
+ We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer with strong experience in modernizing legacy .NET applications, migrating them from older .NET Framework versions to .NET 6/7/8, and deploying them on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The ideal candidate has deep understanding of legacy .NET internals, strong debugging skills across versions, and hands‑on experience in containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application deployment.
+ Key Responsibilities
+ Analyze and understand existing legacy .NET applications (e.g., .NET Framework 2.0/3.5/4.x).
+ Migrate applications to latest .NET versions (.NET 8 or higher), ensuring compatibility and functional parity.
+ Refactor outdated components, libraries, configurations, and third‑party dependencies.
+ Convert existing VM-based application deployments into containerized solutions.
+ Build and optimize Docker images, assess modernization impact, and update architecture as needed.
+ Deploy migrated services/applications to Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) or similar container platforms.
+ Collaborate with DevOps engineers to build or enhance CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions/Jenkins).
+ Perform systematic testing (unit, integration, regression) post‑migration.
+ Identify performance bottlenecks and propose modernization improvements.
+ Document migration steps, architecture changes, and future maintenance guidelines.

+ Strong understanding of monolithic vs microservices architectures.
+ Experience working with REST APIs, Messaging Systems, Web Services.
+ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness).
+ Working knowledge of configuration management, secrets management, and environment variables.
**Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have)**
+ Experience rewriting or modernizing older layers (WCF → REST API, WebForms → MVC/Razor/Blazor).
+ Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
+ Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest).
+ Understanding of SRE practices, application monitoring, and logging tools (ELK, Splunk, Grafana).
