Job Description
**CTG is seeking to fill a Lead Systems Programmer / Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer position for our client.**
**Location:** Raleigh, NC
**Duration:** Ongoing Contract
**Duties:**
+ Coordinate and lead complex system changes, upgrades, and configuration activities across supported mainframe platforms.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more mainframe subsystems (e.g., z/OS, CICS, DB2, DASD, networking, or third-party tools).
+ Provide technical leadership, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies for system changes and production stability.
+ Mentor junior and mid-level systems programmers; provide guidance on technical tasks, troubleshooting, and incident response.
+ Lead resolution of high-priority incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deliver post-incident documentation.
