About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Lead UIUX Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex UI/UX and digital experience projects. This role sits at the intersection of design, delivery, and client management, and is critical in ensuring that high-quality design outcomes are delivered predictably, profitably, and at scale.

The ideal candidate brings 7 - 10+ years of experience managing design-led projects, has worked closely with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders, and is comfortable managing multiple high-impact engagements simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

Project & delivery management

• Own end-to-end delivery of multiple UI/UX and digital experience projects
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and resourcing plans.
• Translate ambiguous client requirements into clear project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Design-led execution

• Work closely with UX designers, UI designers, researchers, and engineers to plan and sequence design and build activities effectively.
• Ensure design processes (research, wireframing, prototyping, design systems, handoff) are appropriately scoped and followed.
• Balance creative exploration with delivery discipline - protecting design quality while managing constraints.

Client & stakeholder management

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients on delivery, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate workshops, reviews, and checkpoints to align stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Proactively identify scope creep, timeline risks, and dependency gaps; recommend corrective actions.
• Support commercial discussions around change requests, extensions, and phased delivery.

Governance

• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans.
• Monitor project progress and performance, and report to stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, mentoring junior project managers and team members.
• Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
• Proven experience managing UI/UX, digital product, or design-heavy projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK).
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Hands-on experience with Agile / hybrid delivery models.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Asana, Notion, Miro, Figma, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with design systems, research-driven design, and iterative product delivery.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification.
• Experience working in a design agency, product studio, or digital consultancy.
