Job Description

M.Ed or M.Phil in Educational Psychology and at least two (2) years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Promoting student-centered learning: Encouraging student-led inquiry and self-directed learning among students, parents, and teachers/faculty and staff.

2. Assessing learning needs: Identifying areas where students need support and developing strategies to address these needs.

3. Developing learning plans: Creating personalized learning plans that cater to individual students' learning styles and goals.

4. Teaching learning strategies: Instructing students in effective learning strategies, such as time management, critical thinking, note-taking, mnemonic devices, and problem solving among others.

5. Providing support: Offering ongoing support and guidance to students as they implement new learning strategies.

6. Monitoring progress: Tracking student progress and adjusting learning plans as needed.


Essential Skills

1. Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

2. Knowledge of learning theories and strategies: Understanding of how students learn and how to support effective learning.

3. Analytical skills: Ability to assess student learning needs and develop targeted strategies.

4. Patience and empathy: Ability to work with students who may be struggling, providing support and encouragement.

5. Flexibility and adaptability: Willingness to adjust learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
