New Directions Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in schools across the Merthyr Tydfil area.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential within a classroom environment.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assist class teachers with day-to-day classroom activities
  • Support learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
