Position Overview:
Typical Level 2 Mechanical Technician (Rotating & Static Equipment) skill set. This aligns with NVQ / apprenticeship / vocational Level 2 standards used in maintenance, manufacturing, oil & gas, utilities, and heavy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Basic maintenance of:
Pumps (centrifugal / positive displacement)
Motors
Gearboxes
Fans and compressors
Bearing removal and installation
Shaft alignment (basic methods)
Belt and chain drives (inspection, tensioning, replacement)
Lubrication techniques and schedules
Vibration awareness (not analysis)
Safe isolation and startup procedures
