Job Description

Librarian

  • Develop and maintain the library collection, including books, journals, and e-resources.
  • Classify, catalog, and manage library materials efficiently.
  • Assist students and faculty in accessing academic resources.
  • Implement and manage library management systems and digital databases.
  • Plan and conduct orientation programs for new students regarding library usage.
  • Ensure proper issuance and return of books and maintain records.
  • Stay updated with new publications and recommend acquisitions.
  • Enforce library rules and maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Coordinate with faculty to ensure academic resource needs are met.
  • Prepare library reports and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. 
  • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned to you by the Registrar, Dean/Vice- Chancellor/Management from time to time.
