About the Role
You will be accountable for the reliable and efficient running of the college library, presenting books as well as encouraging the pleasure of reading. You will manage pupils and volunteers where appropriate. Your main responsibilities will include developing reading lists by age level in collaboration with division heads, assisting students in finding books, and maintaining accurate records of all library books and resources. You will also be responsible for managing all borrowed books, following up with pupils, parents, and teachers when necessary.
You will participate in the selection and acquisition of new publications and renewals of periodicals subscriptions. Additionally, you will oversee the overall maintenance of the library, ensuring it remains organized, comfortable, and inviting for students of all ages.
