· The collision estimator should possess a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, parts, and materials. They should have a comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems, structural components, and the effects of collisions on vehicles. · Collision estimators should be able to accurately assess the damage caused by a collision and provide an estimate for the repair costs. Their estimates should as close as possible to the actual repair cost to ensure fair and reasonable pricing for customers and insurance companies · Collison estimators must pay close attention to detail when inspecting damaged vehicles. They should be able to identify both visible and hidden damage, as well as potential safety concerns that may arise from the collision. · Proficiency in using collision estimating software is crucial for a collision estimator. They should be able to input the relevant data and generate detailed estimates using industry standard software programs. · Effective communication skills are essential for a collision estimator. They need to be able to clearly explain the repair process, cost breakdown, and any additional services required to customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians. They should also be able to answer questions and address concerns in a professional and customer-friendly manner. · Collision estimator should be able to provide estimates in a timely manner. Promptness is crucial to facilitate the repair process and ensure coordination between the estimator, insurance company, and repair facility. · Staying up to date with the latest advancements in automotive technology, repair techniques and standards is important for a collision estimator. It is expected that they will actively pursue continuing education and training opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge. · Collision estimators are required to maintain a minimum standard of production gross dollar sales of $75000 dollars per month. All team members are required to meet or exceed this minimum benchmark to maintain our collective growth and profitability. By consistently achieving this standard, we will collectively contribute to the company's progress and individual success. · Collisionestimators are required to comply with state laws andregulations governing their profession. This includes maintainingliability insurance, if required, and following any specific protocolsor standards set by the licensing authority.
