This position requires a 3rd Assistant Engineer Merchant Mariner Credentialorsement and TWIC card.

SUMMARY

Licensed USCG watch engineer tasked with maintenance of shipboard systems and dredge plant under the direction of the Chief Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The engineer will stand a watch responsible for safe operation of engine room equipment. Duties include operation and maintenance of two Wartsila ship engines, auxiliary generators, hydraulic systems, and pumps.
  • Assist with engine, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
  • Oil changes and general system maintenance.
  • Work 28 days on board with 2 paid travel days and 26 days off.
