  • This is a varied and impactful role focused on the administration and enforcement of statutory licensing functions, with a strong emphasis on animal welfare and public protection.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Promote and enforce compliance across licensing areas including the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, hackney and private hire, and animal welfare.
    Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and investigations into complaints and customer requests.
    Make officer determinations on licences, including refusals, suspensions, and revocations.
    Provide expert advice to stakeholders and respond to complex licensing queries.
    Prepare reports and evidence files, and present in legal proceedings when required.
