Responsibilities
- Supervise and control all lifting operations related to ground improvement works.
- Select appropriate cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories for each lifting activity.
- Prepare and implement approved lift, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is certified, inspected, maintained, and fit for use.
- Verify that statutory requirements, permits to work, and approvals are in place before lifting operations commence.
- Ensure all lifting personnel (operators, riggers, signalers/banksmen) are competent, briefed, and clearly identifiable.
- Monitor lifting operations and suspend activities if unsafe conditions arise (e.g., weather changes, deviations from plan).
- Identify hazards, establish exclusion zones, and enforce lifting safety controls.
