Job Description

Linux L2-

· Key Responsibilities

· Handle L2 escalations for Linux OS issues (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu / SUSE)

· Troubleshoot boot issues, filesystem errors, performance bottlenecks

· User & access management (LDAP/AD integration, sudo, PAM)

· Manage services: systemd, cron, rsyslog, sshd

· Patch management & package updates (yum/dnf/apt/zypper)

· Monitor system health (CPU, memory, disk, I/O)

· Basic security hardening and compliance fixes

· Support VM environments (VMware / KVM)

· Backup/restore support and log analysis

· Coordinate with L3 teams & vendors when required

· Maintain operational documentation and SOPs

· Technical Skills

· Linux administration (3–6 years)

· Filesystems: ext4, xfs, LVM

· Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SSH

· Shell scripting (basic–intermediate)

· Monitoring tools: top, vmstat, iostat, sar

· Ticketing tools: ServiceNow / Remedy / JIRA
