ActioNet is looking for a strong Linux Administrator with experience supporting Azure/Cloud environment requiring a Public Trust. The position is Hybrid and the primary location is Silver Spring, MD.

The Linux Administrator will manage Linux platforms and containers across hybrid environments supporting NOAA’s Marine Operations. This role is essential for operating scientific data services, implementing automation, and ensuring secure, high-performance Linux-based workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain RHEL/Ubuntu with CIS/NOAA hardening
  • Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker/Podman and Kubernetes
  • Implement configuration management and IaC (Ansible, Cloud-Init/Kickstart)
  • Monitor Linux performance and triage system issues
  • Manage keys/secrets and integrate with AAD/Key Vault
