Linux Senior Systems Administrator AIR6500 | Mawson Lakes

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to support complex, mission-critical ICT systems across multiple security classifications on the AIR 6500 Program .

This role is ideal for a Linux professional with a Defence background who enjoys working in large, secure, technically demanding environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of Linux systems (primarily RHEL)
• Supporting physical and virtualised infrastructure across secure environments
• Using enterprise tools like Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, AD/IDM, vCenter, Cisco UCS
• Monitoring system health and performance (i.e. Grafana, Splunk, vendor tools)
• Managing backups, SANs, VDI (Horizon), and infrastructure monitoring
• Hardening systems and maintaining compliance with ISM and Defence standards
