Job Description
**Overview**
The Liquid Penetrant Level II Technician is responsible for performing and evaluating liquid penetrant tests to detect surface discontinuities on materials and components. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. The Level II technician is also qualified to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results, and generate reports.
Salary: Starting $22-$28/hour DOE + $1.00 Shift Differential
This is a second shift position, hours are: 1-9:30pm (with the opportunity to work overtime)
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform liquid penetrant (PT) testing in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and standards (e.g., ASTM E1417, ASME (minimum).
+ Prepare test surfaces, apply penetrants, remove excess, apply developers, and inspect for indications.
