Overview

Our client, a highly regarded law firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading a wide variety of legal documents, including statements of claim and defence, motion records, affidavits, and correspondence.
  • Managing calendars, tracking court deadlines, and coordinating schedules for hearings, mediations, discoveries, and client meetings.
  • Filing and serving court documents in compliance with Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and court practices.
  • Maintaining and organizing electronic and paper litigation files, including managing large volumes of documents.
  • Liaising with clients, court staff, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
