YOUR NEW ROLE
Reporting to an industry-leading specialist partner & supported by a paralegal/junior lawyer, you will love resolving a full spectrum of intellectually stimulating +interesting disputes (Superior level & Land & Environment Courts) relating to:
 

• all aspects of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and related legislation;
• development applications (DAs), complying DAs and exempt development.
• applications to amend LEPs and planning proposals;
• voluntary planning agreements and developer contributions.
• easements and access to land ;
• land contamination, pollution, remediation and voluntary management proposals.
• directors’ duties and liabilities under planning and environment regulations.
• critical habitat and the operation of threatened species conservation legislation.
• site and environmental audits, due diligence and environmental impact assessment.
• regulatory compliance and enforcement.
• Land and Environment Court Applications and Appeals.

Only if your desire some variety, scope to also practice in some construction law and/or strata law (depending on your experience).

• are admitted as a solicitor in NSW;
• have minimum 4 yrs or more hands-on environmental/planning/local government law litigation experience (essential) preferably acting for applicants (ie developers/private entities);
• have strong communication, research, negotiation, advocacy and client management skills;
