Our Firm specializes in personal injury, representing clients with care, diligence, and strong advocacy. The position you applied for is a hands-on role that supports all aspects of the litigation process from start to finish.


A litigation assistant task includes assisting with court filings, trial preparation, answering the phone, setting appointments, summarizing key information, and drafting pleadings.


This role works closely with a collaboration team made up of 3 attorneys and experienced paralegals. Everyone works together, and communication and teamwork are essential to our success. You would be an important part of that team, contributing to both client service and case progression.

Compensation:

$19 - $21 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Court Filing and Deadlines: Electronically filing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; maintaining, calculating, and calendaring court deadlines (docketing)
  • Document Preparation: Drafting, formatting, proofreading, and editing correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and discovery shells.
  • Case Management: Organizing and Maintaining electronic files; managing document production, preparing trial binders, exhibits lists, and notebooks.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Scheduling depositions, hearings, meetings, and travel for attorneys.
  • Communication Liaison: Acting as a primary contact for clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court staff.
  • Administrative Support: Processing attorney time entries, opening new client matters.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a law firm or litigation environment is typically required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office ( Word, Outlook, Case Peer) and document management systems.
  • Organizational Skills: High-level of attention to detail for managing multiple deadlines and files.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for drafting documents and communicating with clients.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English: Highly proficient in both languages, verbal and written.
