Job Description – Load Break Switch (LBS) Design Engineer

Research & Development (R&D) / Medium Voltage Switchgear

Role Purpose

To design, develop, and validate Load Break Switches (LBS) for overhead distribution lines and RMU applications across all medium-voltage ratings (up to 36kV and beyond, depending on utility needs). The engineer will work with various insulation technologies (SF₆, Dry Air, Solid Insulation, and others), ensuring compliance with IEC standards, utility specifications, and global market requirements. The candidate must have proven, successful design experience in LBS engineering and be an expert in shunt vacuum interrupting solutions as part of modern SF₆-free LBS developments.
