Job Description

• The loader operator will work in the yard of a production facility handling structural steel components.
• This role requires operating overhead cranes and front-end loaders to safely move, organize, and load steel beams, columns, and plates, often measuring 20-25+ ft long, onto flat-bed trailers.
• Ensuring accurate loading based on packing slips and utilizing dunnage, strapping, and rigging to secure loads while maintaining safety protocols in a fast-paced environment is essential. The majority of the work will be conducted outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes and front-end loaders to move structural steel components.
• Organize and load steel beams, columns, and plates onto flat-bed trailers.
• Ensure accurate loading based on packing slips.
• Utilize dunnage, strapping, and rigging to secure loads.
