Job Description
FM Conway is looking to recruit an experienced Loading Shovel Operative to join the Aggregate and Asphalt division based in Erith. As our Loading Shovel Operative you will be involved in a range of tasks relating to the manufacture of asphalt. Including production, dispatch and mobile plant operation. This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 4 on 4 off shift which covers days and nights.
The duties of the Loading Shovel Operative role will include:
Operating the loading shovel and mobile plant equipment
Assisting with the production of asphalt through the loading of materials into the asphalt plant
Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance on all mobile plant as required, reporting any defects accurately and in a timely manner
Operating other items of mobile plant, such as a telehandler and MEWP
Operating the weighbridge, controlling the dispatching of orders and liaising with the commercial team
