Locksmith / Manager, Physical and Technical Security

Overview:

The Manager will assist the Senior Operations Manager with research, development, recommendation, and implementation of departmental and University policies and procedures related to physical and technical security (access/key control). The Manager is to perform skilled installation and service for a wide range of locksmith, electronic access control systems, and ADA door systems. This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and maintenance of all the University’s key, lock, door, access control, and ADA equipment. This includes standard mechanical key and electronic card access equipment that is essential to the security of the physical environment. The position assists in the development and implementation of the key and access policy and oversees key distribution, inventory and reconciliation. The individual will issue and account for keys and use portable devices to program electronic and electro-mechanical locksets. Responsibilities:
