Greenville, SC 29607 Looking for an experienced NP in Medical Oncology for a long-term locum assignment at a busy cancer care center. This role offers a blend of outpatient hematology/oncology care with inpatient call responsibilities on rotation. Position Highlights Profession: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: Medical Oncology Start Date: As soon as credentialed Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Clinical Details Practice Setting: Free-standing cancer center Patient Population: Adult & geriatric Case Mix: 65% Benign Hematology 35% Malignant Oncology 0% Internal Medicine Team Structure: 8 Physicians 4 APPs Average Daily Volume: Outpatient: ~15 patients/day Inpatient (call/rounding): ~20 patients/day EMR: EPIC Call Requirements Call Frequency: 1 rotation every 5–6 weeks Call Duties: First call for patient & hospital phone calls On-site inpatient rounding Sat & Sun Call Hours: Tues 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Fri 4:30 p.m. – Mon 8:00 a.m. Required Duties Manage bone marrow transplant patients Blood bank coordination Order labs, imaging & treatments Prescribing Work closely with Nurse Oncologists administering chemotherapy Credentialing & Travel Travel Covered: Flights Hotel Rental car and Mileage reimbursed Submission Requirements Board Certified Hematology/Oncology NP – Required Active SC License (or willing to obtain) – Required BLS – Required DEA – Required How to Apply Interested in this role?
