Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Job Details Location: Austin, TX Healthcare Setting: Urgent Care Clinic Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Local nurse practitioner candidates only) Start Date: December 8, 2025 End Date: March 7, 2026 Shifts per Week: 3-4 Shift Duration: 12-hour days Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,600-$4,500 Clinic Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 8am-7pm, Sun 8am-5pm Patient Volume: 35-40 patients per 12-hour shift EMR System: Practice Velocity Nurse Practitioner Qualifications Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care Board Certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds (required for CareNow clinics) Experience managing Worker's Compensation cases strongly preferred DOT certification preferred Ability to provide pediatric urgent care (ages 3 months and up) Local candidates only (no travel or housing provided) Must wear solid color scrubs (no black, white, red, or other medical company logos) Credentialing process takes approximately 90 days Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality urgent care services to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients (3 months and older) Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries Manage and document Worker's Compensation cases Perform minor clinical procedures as required Utilize Practice Velocity EMR for accurate patient documentation Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care Maintain compliance with urgent care clinic protocols and healthcare regulations Apply now to join our healthcare team and make a difference in Austin’s thriving urgent care community!
