Greenville, SC 29607 A busy cancer care center in Greenville is seeking an experienced Oncology PA for a long-term locum assignment. This role offers consistent daytime hours, a supportive multispecialty team, and both outpatient and call-based inpatient responsibilities. Position Highlights Profession: Physician Assistant Specialty: Oncology Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Clinical Details Practice Setting: Free-standing cancer center Reason for Coverage: Provider departure Coverage Dates: February 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026 Patient Population: Adult & geriatric Case Mix: 65% Benign Hematology 35% Malignant Oncology 0% Internal Medicine Team Structure: 8 Physicians 4 APPs Daily Volumes: Outpatient: ~15 patients/day Inpatient (call/rounding): ~20 patients/day EMR: EPIC Call Requirements Rotation: Every 5–6 weeks Call Duties: First-call for patient & hospital calls On-site inpatient rounding Saturdays & Sundays Call Hours: Tues 4:30 p.m. – Wed 8:00 a.m. Fri 4:30 p.m. – Mon 8:00 a.m. Key Responsibilities Management of bone marrow transplant patients Blood bank coordination Ordering labs, imaging & diagnostics Prescribing Collaborating with Nurse Oncologists administering chemotherapy Travel Flights and Hotel covered Rental car and Mileage reimbursed Submission Requirements Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology – Required Active SC License or willing to obtain – Required BLS – Required DEA – Required How to Apply Ready to be considered?
