Physician Assistant | Pediatrics - Critical Care Location: Texas Employer: Barton Associates Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Physician Assistant for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role covers Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) patients and includes both weekday and weekend shifts with day, night, and extended hours. The assignment offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on pediatric cardiology and critical care cases, utilizing the Epic EMR system. Job Details Location: Texas Start Date: Jun 1, 2026 LOA: 30 days Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am-8pm; weekends 8am-9pm; includes days, nights, and weekends Responsibilities and Duties Provide pediatric cardiology care, including post-operative management for cardiothoracic cases Cover 1.5 FTE in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Perform advanced procedures such as arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Document care and manage patient records using Epic EMR Additional Information Required board certifications: Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Minimum one year of pediatric cardiology experience required; post-operative cardiothoracic experience preferred Texas state license required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
