Are you a dedicated General Medicine Physician seeking flexible, impactful work that supports our nation's Veterans? We invite experienced providers to become part of a vital mission, performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Nevada. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while maintaining a flexible schedule, all within a supportive and professional environment.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license to practice in Nevada
- Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to conduct thorough assessments
- Excellent physical examination skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently
- Knowledge of Veterans Affairs procedures and documentation preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension exams
- Familiarity with electronic health records and report submissions
- Certification in relevant medical specialties or VA-specific training
- Basic understanding of medical-legal documentation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in primary care or general medicine
- Prior experience with government or Veterans Affairs exams is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Own a private office location within the designated areas (Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, Ely)
- Willingness to perform PRN, ongoing assignments on a flexible schedule
- Ability to complete exams within designated timeframes (half-day or full-day shifts)
- Reliable internet and communication capabilities for administrative follow-up
- Must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding licensure and certification
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00 (flat rates for half-day and full-day shifts apply as specified)
