Join Our Dynamic Team as a Locum Physician – General Medicine NV


Are you a dedicated General Medicine Physician seeking flexible, impactful work that supports our nation's Veterans? We invite experienced providers to become part of a vital mission, performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Nevada. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while maintaining a flexible schedule, all within a supportive and professional environment.


Required Skills:


  • Valid medical license to practice in Nevada

  • Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine

  • Strong interviewing skills with the ability to conduct thorough assessments

  • Excellent physical examination skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing

  • Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently

  • Knowledge of Veterans Affairs procedures and documentation preferred



Nice to Have Skills:


  • Prior experience with compensation and pension exams

  • Familiarity with electronic health records and report submissions

  • Certification in relevant medical specialties or VA-specific training

  • Basic understanding of medical-legal documentation



Preferred Education and Experience:


  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in primary care or general medicine

  • Prior experience with government or Veterans Affairs exams is advantageous



Other Requirements:


  • Own a private office location within the designated areas (Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, Ely)

  • Willingness to perform PRN, ongoing assignments on a flexible schedule

  • Ability to complete exams within designated timeframes (half-day or full-day shifts)

  • Reliable internet and communication capabilities for administrative follow-up

  • Must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding licensure and certification



Compensation:

Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00 (flat rates for half-day and full-day shifts apply as specified)
