Doctor of Medicine | Anesthesiology - General/Other Location: Charleston, WV Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Nights - 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as an Anesthesiology Cardiac Physician Embark on a rewarding opportunity to deliver exceptional cardiac anesthesiology care in a dynamic hospital setting. As an integral member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for supervising CRNAs and providing comprehensive anesthesia services across multiple hospital sites, including general, women's, and children's hospitals. This role offers a chance to work with a broad spectrum of adult surgical procedures, including kidney transplants, within a collaborative and supportive environment committed to high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Provide general anesthesiology services for adult patients, with additional skills in pediatrics, obstetrics, and cardiac anesthesia. Supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) during procedures. Participate in a variety of surgical procedures, including full-spectrum surgeries and kidney transplants. Cover shifts scheduled from 7 a.m., with varying hours, primarily 10-hour shifts, involving night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Manage patient care across multiple hospital sites, including CAMC General Hospital, Memorial Hospital, and Women's and Children's Hospital. Be available to cover scheduled cases and handle emergent situations, with some flexibility needed for call assignments. Required Skills and Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD or DO) with Board Certification in Anesthesiology. Valid WV State Medical License, DEA, and CSR. Active certifications: ABA, ACLS, BLS. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in general, pediatric, obstetric, or cardiac anesthesia. Willingness to supervise CRNAs and adapt to varied surgical cases. Proficiency with EPIC EMR system. Nice to Have Skills: Experience in pediatric, obstetric, or cardiac anesthesia. Additional certifications in specialized anesthesiology fields. Prior experience working in a hospital environment managing adult and complex cases. Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution. Board-certified anesthesiologist with at least 2 years of post-residency experience, including exposure to pediatric, obstetric, or cardiac anesthesia. Other Requirements: Willingness to work night shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Ability to obtain and maintain relevant state licenses and certifications. Flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and optional call duties.
