We are currently recruiting a dedicated physician to provide 24-hour call coverage at McLaren Bay Region through March 2026, with ongoing assignments anticipated through 2027. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive gastroenterology care, including ERCP procedures, with hospitalist support and collaboration with local colorectal surgeons. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend call, providing a great balance between professional responsibilities and personal time. The position includes both 24-hour and 12-hour shifts, offering flexibility to suit your preferences. Required Skills: Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology Proficiency in ERCP procedures Ability to work independently during on-call hours Strong clinical and interpersonal skills to deliver quality patient care Current medical license in Michigan or eligibility to obtain one Nice to Have Skills: Experience in community hospital settings Familiarity with outpatient GI clinics situated nearby Additional certifications related to advanced endoscopy Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in gastroenterology Previous locum or hospital-based experience preferred Other Requirements: Must possess or be eligible for Michigan medical licensure Ability to comply with the included travel, lodging, and expense policies Willingness to work scheduled shifts and adhere to hospital protocols Available to start on or before March 1, 2026 We offer competitive pay packages, weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, and a robust referral bonus program.
