Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Santa Cruz, CA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview We are seeking Hematology Oncology Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Santa Cruz, California , with openings for both full-time and part-time coverage . This is an ambulatory clinic-based role providing comprehensive hematology and oncology care in a well-supported, multidisciplinary environment. Ideal candidates are patient-focused clinicians with strong clinical expertise and an active California license. Assignment Details Position Type: Locum Tenens Providers Needed: 2 (1 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time) Start Date: March 2026 (pending credentialing) Duration: Ongoing Schedule Options: Full-Time: 5 days per week Part-Time: 2–3 days per week Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Setting: Ambulatory / Outpatient Clinic Patient Volume: Approximately 13–18 patients per day Pay pay – inquire for details Gratis Hours: No gratis hours specified – all worked clinical hours are compensated Clinical Responsibilities Provide expert hematology and oncology care in an outpatient setting Diagnose and manage benign and malignant hematologic and oncologic conditions Collaborate with nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacists, and care coordinators Utilize onsite infusion services for treatment delivery Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and coordination Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care from diagnosis through survivorship Clinical Support & Infrastructure Dedicated RN staff Nurse navigators and social workers Pharmacy liaison for oral medications Research coordinators and genetic counselors Inpatient oncology unit with multidisciplinary rounds Tumor boards, rapid diagnosis clinic, and radiation oncology access EMR System: Cerner Credentialing Estimated Timeframe: Up to 90 days Emergency privileges: Not available Reason for Coverage Ongoing coverage due to departing physicians transitioning to private practice Travel Air travel permitted Lodging and travel must follow client travel policy Travel details must be submitted at time of presentation Requirements REQUIRED Qualifications MD or DO (REQUIRED) Active California Medical License (REQUIRED – Deal Breaker) Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program (REQUIRED) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology (REQUIRED) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (REQUIRED) Active DEA Registration (REQUIRED) Active BLS Certification (REQUIRED) Clean malpractice and background history (REQUIRED) Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED) Benefits ✈️ Full travel assistance and comprehensive benefits Weekly Pay Runs – Get paid every week, fast and hassle-free ️ Malpractice Insurance Provided – Full coverage for peace of mind Referral Bonuses – Get rewarded when you refer a colleague Access to Nationwide Openings – Work with us and unlock jobs in 40 states
