Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $6,350 - $7,520 OB/GYN Job Details Location: Clinton, North Carolina (zip 28328) Assignment Dates: April 10, 2026 (8AM) – April 13, 2026 (8AM) and April 24, 2026 (8AM) – April 27, 2026 (8AM) Shift: 24-hour call coverage (hospital housing provided adjacent to facility) Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Locum tenens physician contract Department: Obstetrics & Gynecology Average Deliveries: 27 per month (approx. 1-3 deliveries per 24 hours) Support: 24/7 hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology support Nursery Level: Level I nursery (high-risk transfers available) Travel: Travel costs capped at $500 Shift Duration: 12-hour any (24-hour call blocks) OB/GYN Physician Qualifications Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA (with NC address) NC Medicaid credentialing and current PECOS enrollment Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Minimum 1 year of recent OB/GYN clinical experience (case logs from past 12 months required) Fully vaccinated No recent or open malpractice cases Must be actively delivering babies (case logs required) Ability to respond within 20 minutes per hospital bylaws Laser certification preferred OB/GYN Physician Responsibilities Provide 24-hour call coverage for the OB/GYN unit, including patient rounding Manage emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and gynecological procedures Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted preferred) Handle routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, C-section, breech, multiple births, VBACs, abruptions) Repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Perform office and minor gynecology procedures (IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.) Conduct surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic procedures, ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's) Collaborate with hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology teams Ensure high-quality patient care and timely response to OB/GYN emergencies Apply now for this locum tenens OB/GYN physician job in Clinton, North Carolina and join our healthcare team today!
